The Best Things to Do in and Around Belek: A Local Driver's Guide

Published: 11 March 20267 min read

From championship golf and Roman ruins to canyon rafting and Blue-Flag beaches, here is what is genuinely worth your time in Belek and the surrounding region.

Belek is best known as Turkey's golf capital, but spend a few days here and you quickly realise it sits at the centre of one of the Mediterranean coast's richest pockets of things to see and do. We drive guests around this area every day, so here is our honest, practical run-down of what is worth your time.

Golf, first and foremost

Belek was purpose-built around golf, and it shows. The resort is ringed by championship courses designed by some of the biggest names in the sport, threaded between umbrella pines and sand dunes. Tee times fill up fast in spring and autumn, so book ahead. Most courses sit within a ten to fifteen minute drive of the main hotel belt, and we are happy to run you out for an early round and collect you after.

Land of Legends and a beach day

For families, the big draw is The Land of Legends theme park in nearby Kundu, around 25 km from central Belek. It pairs roller coasters and a serious water park with a pedestrian shopping avenue and an evening show. Closer to home, Belek's own coastline is lined with Blue-Flag beaches, where the shallow, clean water and soft sand make for easy days with kids. Many beach clubs rent sunbeds and serve food right on the sand.

History within easy reach

The Roman theatre at Aspendos, just 15 km away, is one of the best-preserved anywhere in the ancient world. Stand on its stage and a whisper carries to the top row. It still hosts concerts and opera in summer. Pair it with a half-day in Antalya's old town, Kaleici, where Ottoman houses, a Roman harbour and narrow lanes of cafes reward a slow wander.

Nature and adrenaline

If you want to get out of the resort, Koprulu Canyon is the place for white-water rafting along a cool, fast river shaded by forest, an easy and genuinely fun trip even for first-timers. Kursunlu Waterfall, set in a leafy nature park, is a gentler alternative with shaded walking trails. Horse-riding clubs near Belek offer rides through the pine forest and along the beach, and boat trips from the nearby coast make for a relaxed day on the water.

Slow days too

Not every day needs to be busy. A traditional hammam and spa session is the local way to unwind after golf or a long flight, and most resort hotels and town spas offer the full scrub-and-steam ritual. It is the perfect counterweight to an active itinerary.

Transfer note

Almost everything here starts with the drive from Antalya Airport, and that first ride sets the tone for the trip. We meet you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, track your flight so a delay is never a problem, and drive you to your Belek hotel in a clean Mercedes for a fixed price agreed at the time of booking — no meter, no surge, no surprises. Pay in cash or by card, child seats are free, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup. We run 24/7, so whether you land at dawn or midnight, we will be waiting.
